The Project
Works at Magor Brewery, Monmouthshire, South Wales
Donald Lomax and Partners have provided Quantity Surveying and Project Co-ordination services at the Magor Brewery site for over 40 years. DLP have helped to oversee the original construction in 1976 and the ongoing expansion of the brewery and it’s associated facilities, which have continued to expand to meet the UK’s growing demand for beer.
DLP are involved at the outset of the project and provide Budget Cost Estimates for various options to allow desired production/logistical requirements to be meet and then to allow submission of requests for capital from central funding. Once budget approved, tenders are sought and works carried out on site, with regular meetings held to co-ordinate with any plant / equipment installation requirement.
Projects range from a new 3,200m2 Bottling Hall facility, construction of a new yeast recovery facility, waste water recycling plant, formation of hardstanding areas for temporary warehouse storage facilities, together with ongoing maintenance projects to drains, roofs, hardstanding areas and roads.
The enclosed site plan indicates some of the recent project that’s DLP have been involved with at the Magor site.
