Manufacturing Facility, Plot 5 Futures Park
Project Summary: Works to transform plot 5 at Futures Park into a manufacturing facility for a prestigious international company have recently been completed. The manufacturing facility has a floor area of 4,300m2 along with 330m2 of office facilities.
The building will be occupied by Orthoplastics Limited, who are a world leader in the development and supply of implantable medical devices for the orthopaedic sector, involving musculo-skeletal issues.
Services Provided: Donald Lomax and Partners Ltd were appointed to the Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent role to prepare Employers Requirements and Contract Documents at the Pre Contract phase along with providing a detailed assessment and value for money report on the main Contractor’s tender offer.
During the construction phase interim valuations were assessed, certified and monitored against cashflow forecasts. Together with issuing Contract Administrators instructions in accordance with the JCT Contract requirements.
