Carry Lane Phase One, Colne

Project Summary: The works comprised the design and construction of 12 Nr bungalows, together with associated drainage and external works for The Peter Birtwistle Trust who provide supported accommodation for elderly residents. The project was a continuation of the existing accommodation provided by the Trust and was split between two separate blocks. The challenging sloping site enabled undercroft garages and stores to be incorporated into the design below one of the residential blocks.

Services Provided: The DLP team were appointed to act as Employers Agent together with undertaking other essential Quantity Surveying Services on this project for the joint venture company PEARL 2.

Value Added: DLP ensured value for money was achieved for the Client on this project, undertaking negotiations with the Main Contractor to agree the contract sum whilst also reviewing design changes during the construction phase to ensure any elements of value engineering could be capitalised on.
